The idea with the interactive map concept was to create a simple, recognizable user centric design that once downloaded as an app (the map for a Zoo) the user touches the icon on the map of the animal they want to see. Well, most animals are sleeping or hiding from the heat. However, they do come out to feed. So I created an app that once you touch the locator animal icon pin a slide out asks you three questions. First, what animal do you want to see? When will they be eating (best probability of actually seeing the animal) and finally booking the time slot as the benches fill up quickly? This helps you plan your day with the best possible viewing of actual animals!
Here is the interface on the app, the area on the left shows where you are and how to best navigate to the animal you have booked your time to see.
The second part was to create the way-finding signs along the way around the zoo, and then create a realistic version of what the flat signage would look like in real life
